On 2nd January 2018, Dr Ioana Kraft, General Manager of The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Shanghai Chapter, presented the Chamber's view on the outcome of the 19th Party Congress.
Several statements made at the 19th Party Congress are encouraging for European businesses operating in China, in particular statements around further opening up.
This shows consistency with statements made throughout 2017 by the Chinese leadership as well as State Council documents No. 5 and No. 39 and Circular 26 issued by the Shanghai Municipal government.
