About EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (APP)

The EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (APP) was launched in February in Beijing.  This project is funded by the Partnership Instrument of the European Union and supported by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). On the European side it is implemented by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) working together with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (European Chamber) as the local implementing partner.  Opening a new chapter in EU-China aviation relations, this 5-year, €10 million project will link technical cooperation with policy dialogue between the European and Chinese aviation authorities.

The EU-China APP will focus on seven areas of mutual interest. Dedicated activities will be implemented in these areas including regulatory cooperation, safety promotion exercises, workshops, training and technical exchanges. 

  • Aviation Safety and Security
  • General aviation
  • Air Traffic Management/Air Navigation Services & Airports
  • Airworthiness
  • Environmental protection
  • Economic policy and regulation
  • Legislation and Law Enforcement.

 

Why Should You Join ?

The EU-China APP will be a great opportunity for experts from industries, associations and consultancies to bring together their expertise, techniques, programs, or models that serve to strengthen the mutual interest of EU-China aviation relations, as well as to establish partnerships with European and Chinese aviation authorities.

The Aviation & Aerospace Working Group welcomes corporate & individual applications to be included in the talent pool for the EU-China APP.

For individual application: The experts’ professional experiences should directly relate to at least one of the project focus areas including but not limited to Aviation Safety and Security, General aviation, ATM&ANS, Airports, Airworthiness, Environmental protection, Economic policy and regulation, Legislation and Law Enforcement

For corporate application, a point of contact should be identified within the corporation. Depending on the area of expertise, a corporation can recommend more than one expert to join the talent pool

 

How Should You Apply?

Interested parties should submit their applications to European Chamber Aviation & Aerospace Working Group Secretariat.

- For individual application, the application package should include:

  • Ÿ   A motivation letter which clearly indicates which project area(s) you can contribute
  • Ÿ   A short bio
  • Ÿ   A Resume in EuroPass Format ( Template can be found https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/en/home )

- For corporate application, the application package should include:

  • A letter which includes the introduction of your company and point of contact

Ÿ- For each recommended corporate expert

 

How Can You Be Involved ?

Once you send out your application, you can expect a receipt from Aviation & Aerospace Working Group Secretariat within 3 working days.  You will then be included into the Aviation & Aerospace Working Group Secretariat’s distribution list for future updates and your profile will be automatically saved in the chamber’s talent pool.  You will be contacted at a later stage for potential participation possibilities once a certain activity is identified to match your interest and expertise.   

The review of the expert applications will be processed on a rolling basis.
