On August 20, the European Chamber welcomed two experts Ralph Koppitz, Chief Representative, Partner, Taylor Wessing Shanghai Representative Office, and Miriam Wickertsheim, Director, Direct HR, to elaborate successful employment and staff development in China. The seminar was well attended by guests from the HR industry. Both speaker also touched on the “Several Rules on Implementing the Labour Contract Law” were published as draft on July 5 this year. These rules contain clarifications about use of employee’s personal data, various clarifications on conclusion of open-ended labour contracts, mutual agreement on suspension of the labour contract, etc.
