During this meeting, the Bureau introduced the tax collection status for 2014, Guangzhou Municipal Local Taxation Bureau’s work focus in 2015, the implementation status of social insurance for expatriates and other tax-related matters regarding to foreign employees in Guangzhou.
According to the Guangzhou Municipal Local Taxation Bureau, in 2014, there were 6000 foreign employees (not including Hong Kong and Macao citizens) participating in the collection of social insurance and the total amount of collected social security fee was 160 million yuan. The meeting concluded with the handover of European Business in China Position Paper 2014/2015 by Ms. Ingrid Qin, Co-Chair of Legal & Taxation Working Group, and Mr. Sebastian Wiendieck, Co-Chair of Legal &Taxation Working Group to Mr. Jianqiang Li, Chief Accountant of Guangzhou Municipal Local Taxation Bureau, and Mr. Guanglin Wei, Division Chief of International Taxation Division.
