Inter-Chamber SME WG represented at the SWITCH-Asia Multi-stakeholder Consultation on SCP

Advocacy and Working Group Coordinator Ms. Ester Cañada Amela was invited to provide the perspective of European SMEs at SWITCH-ASIA's Multi-stakeholder Consultation on SCP, which was held in Beijing last 28th February.

During the panel on SMEs, businesses and industries, Ms. Cañada provided an overview of the activities of the EU SME Centre (One of the EU projects implemented by the European Chamber). She also outlined the key difficulties encountered by European SMEs when trying to access and operate in the Chinese market, and she provided a couple of case studies of smaller European businesses in the green energy and building sectors that had succeeded in doing businesses in China.
