Exclusive Roundtable Dialogue with SAMR Department of Accreditation & Inspection and Testing Supervision Management

On 29th November, the European Chamber’s Quality and Safety Services Sub-working Group (QSS Sub-WG) organised an exclusive roundtable dialogue with the Department of Accreditation & Inspection and Testing Supervision Management of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).
The National Chair of the QSS Sub-WG, Ms Liu Huifang, led a delegation of eight member representatives to meet with Director General Xu Xinjian, along with other 6 division directors. The two parties discussed market opening for international testing, inspection and certification (TIC) agencies in China at both the central and local levels. The two parties also spoke about improvements to the regulatory environment for the TIC industry.
The dialogue concluded with Ms Liu presenting the Chamber’s Position Paper 2018/2019 to Director General Xu proposing a mechanism for regular dialogue between the Chamber and the Department of Accreditation & Inspection and Testing Supervision Management in the future.
