The European Chamber and the EU SME Centre participate in the 8th Plenary Meeting of EU-China Industrial Dialogue and Consultation Mechanism

On 16th November, European Chamber President Emeritus Mr. Davide Cucino and EU SME Centre Director Mr. Peter Pronk participated in the the 8th Plenary Meeting of EU-China Industrial Dialogue and Consultation Mechanism with DG GROW and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) as industry representatives.

The Plenary was chaired by DG GROW Director-General Ms. Lowri Evans and by MIIT Chief Economist Mr. Wang Xinzhe. During the meeting, both parties updated each other on the results of previous technical dialogues on SME policy, raw materials, automotive, industrial energy efficiency and emissions reduction and shipbuilding. Mr. Cucino and Mr. Pronk, as representatives from the European Chamber and the EU SME Centre, provided the perspective of the industry. Both sides stressed the political relevance this Plenary had gained during the EU-China Summit earlier this year, and agreed to continue to strengthen and seek further avenues for cooperation
