Chamber Discusses Market Regulations with Deputy Director General of Jiangsu AIC

On 30th September, a delegation led by Bernhard Weber, Chairman of the European Chamber’s Nanjing Chapter paid a visit to the Administration for Industry and Commerce of Jiangsu Province (Jiangsu AIC). The Deputy Director General (DDG) of Jiangsu AIC, Li Jie, received the delegation. Officials from the Jiangsu Consumers Association and departments for e-commerce supervision and consumer protection attended the meeting. 

European Chamber representatives from various industries including fashion and leather, cosmetics, food for special medical purposes and household appliances addressed their concerns regarding online and offline market supervision, product compliance and inspection, consumer protection and professional claimer issues. DDG Li and other officials gave an overview of Jiangsu AIC’s market regulation and consumer protection policies. Both sides agreed to deepen their engagement and hold more regular exchanges in the future.

Mr. Weber presented DDG Li the European Business in China—Position Paper 2018/2019, Business Confidence Survey 2018 and 18 Months Since Davos report.
