On December 13th, the  Logistics Working Group submitted a lobby letter to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce regarding the surging cost of port operation for express delivery industry in Beijing.  The letter points out that the increasing fees and charges has added significant financial burden to foreign express delivery companies operating in Beijing port and thus affecting the investment environment for import and export trade.  In the letter, foreign express deliver industry jointly appealed that Beijing Commission of Commerce should conduct an investigation at Beijing port on the rising fees and surcharges targeting express delivery companies and work with Beijing DRC to design reasonable government guidance price for relevant services.
