Chamber President and Liaoning Vice Governor Discuss Cooperation in the Province

On 6th April, Liaoning Provincial Vice Governor Wang Dawei welcomed Chamber President Jörg Wuttke and a group of Shenyang Chapter board members, as a part of a larger business delegation. Vice Governor Wang gave an overview of Liaoning’s general business environment. He welcomed foreign investment to the region and pointed out that Liaoning has recently been selected as one of the locations for the new round of free trade zones announced in China.

President Wuttke gave an overview of the Shenyang Chapter’s development, shared results from the Chamber's Business Confidence Survey and explained the chapter’s current focus on its forthcoming local position paper. He also gave advice on how he felt that European companies can participate in the development of Liaoning Province with respect to the State Council’s Circular No. 5 and through participation in the One Belt One Road initiative. President Wuttke also pointed to the fact that Liaoning could promote its history more effectively in order to change its image to an area of culture and tourism, and suggested that Liaoning Province eases visa requirements for foreign graduates of Chinese universities, much like Shanghai has already done.
