Lobby Letter to Shenzhen HFPC on Bundled Fees for Hospital Services

2016-12-21 | Beijing, South China

The Healthcare Equipment Working Group sent a Lobby Letter to the Shenzhen Health and Family Planning Commission (HFPC) on Bundled Fees for Hospital Services.

In a pilot project, Shenzhen HFPC requires that hospitals change their billing structure. Service items that so far has been billed separately are now billed together, including medical devices and service fees of medical personnel.

The working group is concerned that the prices for bundled services are too low, possibly resulting in application of sub-standard medical devices. The working group has submitted a detailed report of possible consequences of the price reform for patients.
