Meeting with Executive Vice Chairman of the CCIEE

President Wuttke leading the Chamber delegation met with Executive Vice Chairman Zhang Xiaoqiang of China Center for International Economic Exchanges, CCIEE. At the meeting, President Wuttke recalled earlier engagement with the CCIEE and conveyed the key messages in the Position Paper 2016/2017. He then talked about reciprocity in EU-China trade and investment, CAI negotiation and China Manufacturing 2025. Executive Vice Chairman Zhang recognized the imbalance of the two-way trade and investment between the EU and China. He said that increasing bilateral investment benefits both side. While China is the largest developing countries in the world and will remain opening up to the outside world, there is still much room for future development of EU-China trade and investment. He also shared some updates on the cooperation with two think tanks from the EU and the development of dual track dialogues between China and the EU.  Both sides hoped to further enhance the cooperation between the Chamber and the CCIEE.
