Meeting with DDG of Shanghai Customs on 2016/2017 Position Paper

In the meeting, European Chamber Vice President Mr. Mick Adams introduced the main theme of the 2016/2017 Position Paper to be encouraging Chinese Government for deeper reform and more open market access for European business. He also acknowledged Shanghai Customs' efforts in piloting various customs reform and improving trade facilitation. 

Chairs of Logsitics Working Group, International Liner Shipping Sub-working Group and Agriculture, Food and Bevarage Working Group raised recommendations and questions collected from the European Chamber members, including single window program, manifest regulation, voluntary disclosure, cross-border E-commerce and integrated customs clearance.

Mr. Tan Wu, DDG of Shanghai Customs, highly appreciated European Chamber's recommendations and looked forward to deeper cooperation with the European Chamber. Both sides agreed to have greater involvement of European businesses in future policy-making process and reform agenda.
