Job description
Role Description / Working Relationships
The Photographer reports to the Publications Manager and is a member of the Publications team.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The Photographer is entrusted with the following responsibilities:
· Building positive relationships with students, staff and community and good awareness of school events to provide professional standard photographic service to them
· Photographic documentary of school events on and outside of campus, on a systematic basis
· Student, staff, classes, and other individual or group photos as required. Coordinate processing of student photos
· Editing of pictorial materials toward publications quality
· Constant innovation and development of new and effective ways to showcase WAB and our unique nature via photography
· Manage the WAB Photo online system, from filling of fresh materials by systematically tagging, categorizing in database, as well as handling communications about it with the whole community
· Publishing of photo galleries on websites, including www.wab.edu, my.wab.edu and others, as specified by Publications Manager
· Selecting photos for specific purposes, including print advertisements, online galleries, accompaniments to articles and others as needed
· Planning and preparing for upcoming publishing needs
· Specific support for yearbooks
· Providing support to web and publishing teams in the form of online and print photos
· Working with the Desktop Publisher and the Publications Manager to manage content for the TV screens signage
· Researching photographic and print techniques and maintaining equipment, as well as communication-related IT skills
PERSON SPECIFICATION
The successful applicant is expected to have the following skills, abilities, knowledge and experience:

· Have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, students and parents in an intercultural context
· Have good computer skills on Mac system with expertise in pictorial management software
· Be strong in both written and spoken English
· Have a positive and dynamic can-do attitude and the ability to work in a diverse team
· Have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task
· Have a flexible approach to work and working hours
· Have strong planning and self-management skills
· Have a pro-active approach in keeping track of all events in WAB for photo cover
Qualifications
· A relevant qualification in photography
· For Foreign passport holder applicants:
1. Must be a BA or above degree holder
2. Hold relevant qualification certificate
3. Two years relevant working experience
Experience
· Prior relevant or related experience and or training in photography
· Experience working in an English-speaking environment
· Some experience in working in education or the non-profit sector an advantage
