Job Type: Full-time

Duration: 3-6 months
The intern will assist the Government Affairs and Membership Departments with the coordination of industry-specific Working Group activities, such as meetings, events and lobby actions, as well as membership management support.
General Responsibilities:
1. Government Affairs Management Support:
· Supporting the supervisors with the coordination and organization of Working Group meetings
· Supporting with the drafting of the European Business in Shanghai Position Paper
· Analyzing and compiling Calls for Comments on legislation drafts
· Compiling and disseminating monthly newsletters, reporting on regulations and economical updates
· Regulatory and market research
· Writing meeting minutes and general reports on high-end government meetings
· English-Chinese translation, occasional oral translations
· Tracking lobby activities
2. Membership Management Support:
· Members database, and distribution lists maintenance and update
· Issue invoice for new/renewed members
· Responsible for the member kit, i.e. updating data, preparing and sending to new members
· Sending of the publications to members
· Conducting research on companies as requested by the Manager
· Doing translations as requested by the Manager
The internship presents an opportunity to gain valuable experience within the areas that the Chamber is involved in, including lobbying, events and organizing Working Group meetings with European industry.
Skills & experience
- Native-level fluency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- University student
- Research experience
- Great organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work well with others as well as independently
- Flexible and proactive attitude
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
The internship is unpaid for the first three months. Basic allowance will be provided, if the internship is extended beyond the initial three months.
