Job description
The European Chamber is a member-driven lobbying organisation. With over 40 working groups and forums, the Chamber represents almost all European industries operating in China. Members are key to the Chamber’s reputation as the Voice of European Business in China.
We are looking for a Membership Manager/Coordinator who can support the membership department to build relationships with potential members and existing members. They should be excited about working for a well-respected organisation and be able to promote the European Chamber to new and existing members, manage relations with members, and communicate membership benefits and activities to members and other interested parties.
The Membership Manager/Coordinator will be responsible for meeting membership revenue targets, and use all the tools and avenues available to renew current and attract new members.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with and support the Membership team and the Government Affairs (GA) team to ensure new and existing members are serviced
· Create and deliver membership renewal and recruitment campaigns to meet Beijing office revenue targets
· Create relationships with potential and existing members
· Develop membership weekly and monthly reports
· Respond to basic membership enquiries received by email/telephone.
· Follow up on new members’ applications and renewal payments.
· Manage administration related to membership, including issuing invoices and drafting contracts and agreements
· Ensure that all activities and statuses are tracked
· Attend and lead meetings with potential and existing members
· Attend European Chamber and other external events representing the Membership Department
· have the chance to manage some ad hoc tasks related to Events or the relevant functions as requested by line manager.
Skills & experience
Qualifications
· University degree in a politics, marketing or business-related subject
· At least 2 years of related experience in a sales, customer relations or business development role
· A passion for sales and delivering targets
· Strongly customer-focused and target driven
· Good organisational skills
· Strong analytical and communication skills
· Outgoing, flexible and proactive, with a team-player attitude
