The Auto Components Working Group was created in 2000. It consists of over 80 European and other foreign companies involved in the manufacturing of auto components, machine tools for the production of auto components and automotive assembly lines. They also import and distribute auto components and provide after-sales services. An independent automotive aftermarket (IAM) Desk was established in October 2014, by Auto Components Working Group members, pledging to explore the possibilities of applying for a European Union (EU) Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation (MVBER) to improve IAM business accessibility to suppliers by advocating for improving existing laws and regulations,1 which includes Access to the Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Information Methods (RMI Methods), Auto Sales Management Methods (Sales Methods) and the Anti-Monopoly Guideline in the Automotive Industry (AML Guideline).
