The Auto Components Working Group was created in 2000. It consists of over 100 European and foreign companies involved in the manufacture of auto components, machine tools for production of auto components and automotive assembly lines. They also import and distribute auto components and provide after-sales services. An Independent Automotive Aftermarket (IAM) Desk was established in October 2014, by Auto Components Working Group members, which pledges to explore the possibilities of applying a European Union (EU) Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation (MVBER) to improve the accessibility of the IAM business to suppliers through advocating the improvement of existing laws and regulations,1 which includes the draft of the Disclosure of Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Information Administrative Methods and the revision of the Automotive Sales Administrative Measures.
